Job Description:

As a Business Development Executive, you will be an integral part of our client's team, driving industry diversification and increasing sales. This role emphasises expanding the customer base and contributing to the continuous growth and staff retention while maintaining high-quality service for customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to convert leads acquired through marketing and exhibitions, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Chase leads and develop key accounts, conducting site tours to foster connections.
  • Display confidence in customer-facing situations, completing company presentations to a corporate level, quality audits, and shop floor tours.
  • Conduct market research, gather competitor intel, and negotiate and close deals.
  • Liaise with internal engineers to facilitate the handover of new business projects.
  • Understand the customer base, focusing on both current and new customers, with the goal of growing accounts up to the value of £2m.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across departments to resolve issues and gather customer feedback.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to achieving sales targets, including customer visits, cold calls, emails, and travel to support customer requirements.
  • Complete sales reporting as per business requirements.
