Caterer Job Description

We are looking for a creative and friendly caterer to be responsible for consulting with clients to create menus for client events and parties.

As a caterer, you should have excellent people and customer service skills. You should be creative, detail-oriented, and a skilled planner.

Caterer Responsibilities:

• Prepare food using portable cooking appliances (grills, fryers, hot plates, etc.)
• Furnish the food service area with tables and chairs, table cloths, dishes and cutlery
• Decorating the food service area with vases, flowers etc
• Prepare seating arrangements
• Serve food to clients
• Makes sure food supplies are kept stocked
• Cleans up food spills and keeps the service area presentable
• Keeps a record of broken or missing equipment, dishes, and cutlery and informs management of required replacements
• Liaise with other vendors such as florists and wending planners

Caterer Requirements:

• Precious experience as a caterer
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and preparation techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Creative thinking and design skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
